Easily Revive a Dead Dry Erase Marker by Flipping the Tip (June 26, 2012) by BOARDLINE(BoardLine) Office Supplies Inc.

Easily Revive a Dead Dry Erase Marker by Flipping the Tip, Dry Erase Marker, white boards,pocket-sized whiteboard,White Board Marker

If you're a fan of white boards then you've likely run into the problem of having a nice set of perfectly useful dry erase markers get ruined by a smashed chisel tip. Instructables user bluebiobbs shows off an easy way to bring those markers back to life.

Unless you've spent time taking apart a dry erase marker you probably aren't aware that the chisel tip that you write with is actually two-sided. This means that you can flip it around and you'll have a like-new marker in a matter of seconds. Start by pulling off the cap on the bottom with a set of pliers, then pull out the ink cartridge, and finally remove the tip. Flip the tip around, stuff it back, and reverse the steps above. Now you can return to using your dry erase marker for marking miles off on your windshield, leaving notes for yourself, and your pocket-sized whiteboard.
